Chick-fil-A Rings in New Year with Ontario Expansion

Chick-fil-A is beginning 2025 by expanding its quick-service restaurant footprint in Ontario.

The U.S.-based franchisor opened a new location in Ottawa’s CF Rideau Centre on January 9 and will begin serving customers at a Cambridge, Ont., outlet on Thursday.

The Ottawa location is in the Rideau Centre’s food court. Hospitality industry veteran Hussein Tohme is the unit’s owner-operator.

The Cambridge site is located at 405 Hespeler Road. Olivia O’Brien has been selected as the restaurant’s independent franchised owner-operator.

She also owns and operates Chick-fil-A’s Kitchener franchise. As a result, she is only Chick-fil-A’s second multi-restaurant owner in Canada.

In celebration of the new restaurants, Chick-fil-A will donate about $68,000 to local hunger relief. The company said the openings will generate approximately 170 jobs in Ontario.
