Chick-fil-A to Open New Location in St. Albert

Chick-fil-A will open a new restaurant in St. Albert, Alta., on May 21, the company announced.

The new quick-service restaurant is situated at 815 St. Albert Trail., and named Chick-fil-A East Village. The franchise outlet will be locally owned and operated by Samuel Messick and will be the company’s newest restaurant in Alberta. The restaurant is expected to employ approximately 85 to 95 full- and part-time staff and will offer dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out service from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

To mark the opening, the company will host a Moo-ve In party, where customers wearing cow-themed clothing or accessories will receive a free entrée on opening day.

As part of the launch, Chick-fil-A plans to donate $25,000 to a local non-profit organization through Second Harvest. Since 2020, the company said it has donated approximately $2 million to local hunger-relief organizations through Second Harvest.

The new restaurant will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which redirects surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and non-profit organizations.
