CN Moving to Former National Bank HQ: Report
Canadian National Railway plans to move into National Bank’s former headquarters in downtown Montreal, La Presse reported.
National Bank has relocated to a new tower at National Bank Place, also situated in downtown Motreal. Some employees will be based in a new nearby mixed-use building. In November, the bank purchased the 10-storey office component in Broccolini’s Victoria Sur le Par at 700 Saint-Jacques Street beside National Bank Place.
CN will move into National Bank’s former head office at 600 rue De La Gauchetière Ouest, La Presse reported. The railway company head office has been based at 935 rue De La Gauchetière Ouest since 1961.
Kevric and the manager of the PSP federal civil servants’ pension fund have owned National Bank’s former headquarters since purchasing the property as part of a sale-leaseback in 2019, according to La Presse. Kevric and CN have declined to comment to La Presse.
