Cologix Acquires Two Toronto Data Centres from CIM
Cologix has acquired two data centres in the Greater Toronto Area for an undisclosed price from CIM Group.
Both sites are located in Markham, Ont. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Denver-based Cologix said it acquired ownership of TOR4, a hyperscale data centre, by purchasing CIM Group’s partnership interests in the site. Cologix and Los Angeles-headquartered CIM developed the facility together.
In a concurrent deal, the company also bought CIM’s 105 Clegg Road facility, known as TOR5. Together, the two data centres deliver 14 megawatts of capacity and more than 90,000 square feet of space, strengthening Cologix’s ability to support cloud and AI workloads in the Toronto market, said the company.
With the acquisitions, Cologix expands its Canadian portfolio to 22 data centres across Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, totalling more than 1,057,000 sf and 94 MW of power.
CIM owns, operates, finances and develops commercial real estate across North America.
