Commercial real estate transaction specialist Julie Dore has been promoted to managing director of business law firm BCF.

The firm announced her appointment in a news release. Doré becomes the firm’s first woman to head Montreal-based BCF. She succeeds Pierre Allard, who had held the post since 2019.

Doré has been with BCF for two decades, starting as an associate and rising to partner and associate director posts before being promoted again. During her career, she has represented hundreds of companies in major transactions.

Another commercial real estate expert, Nicolas Gosselin, has assumed the reins of BCF’s Quebec City office, the firm announced in the same news release. Gosselin is a veteran construction and real estate litigator.
