Dollarama Opens 22 New Discount Retail Outlets

Dollarama opened 22 new stores in its latest quarter, the discount retailer reported Wednesday.

The openings equated to 18 net new stores.

“We are off to a strong start to fiscal 2026 as we successfully pursue our Canadian growth, with comparable store sales supported by sustained consumables demand and positive seasonal offering performance,” said Neil Rossy, the company’s president and CEO.

Rossy said the firm’s Dollarcity subsidiary also also continued to deliver value and advance its expansion plans. Dollarcity’s first stores in Mexico are slated to open “imminently.”

Dollarama’s acquisition of the Reject Shop, Australia’s largest discount retailer, also remains on track with the deal expected to close by July 31.
