Dye & Durham Offering Online Property Tax Certificate Program in Hamilton

Dye & Durham has launched Tax Certificates Online (TCOL) for the City of Hamilton, introducing a faster, digital process for ordering property tax certificates.

The new online portal replaces manual, paper-based requests with an automated system that gives legal and finance professionals instant access to property tax information. The change is designed to reduce administrative work and improve service delivery for residents and professionals, creating a more efficient and transparent property transaction process.

Hamilton joins other Ontario municipalities—including Guelph, Milton, Oakville, and St. Catharines—that use Dye & Durham’s technology to modernize property tax services. Through TCOL, users benefit from end-to-end automation, integrated payment support, and dedicated customer assistance, allowing municipal staff to focus on higher-value tasks, according to the company.

“Providing the City of Hamilton with TCOL reflects our commitment to delivering trusted, valuable technology solutions that organizations and professionals can rely on each day,” said Pablo Rodriguez, president of Dye & Durham Canada. “By streamlining access to property tax information, we make the home buying experience smoother and more transparent for legal professionals, lenders, and homebuyers throughout Ontario.”

To date, more than five million tax certificates have been delivered through TCOL across Canada, including more than 90% of all tax and utility certificates issued annually in B.C.The Hamilton rollout further underscores Dye & Durham’s role in supporting municipalities with technology that enhances transparency and efficiency in real estate transactions, said the company.

Dye & Durham provides practice-management software, data insights, and payments infrastructure for legal, corporate, and government clients. The Toronto-based company also operates in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and South Africa.
