EcoPro Halting Quebec Battery-materials Plant Project Temporarily

EcoPro has announced that it will halt construction temporarily at its $1.2-billion EV battery-materials plant in Bécancour, Que.

The South Korean company attributed the decision to U.S. tariff increases and slower-than-expected EV sales.

Due to the current situation, EcoPro said, it is too early to say how long the pause will last.
