Engineering Firm CIMA+ Opens New Office in Bécancour

CIMA+ has opened a new office in Bécancour, Que., further advancing the firm’s growth and strengthening its presence in Quebec.

One of the largest private consulting engineering firms in Canada, CIMA+ now counts 17 offices across the province. The new location places the Quebec-based firm in one of the innovation hubs of the Energy Transition Valley.

When the office opens, the Bécancour team will include about ten employees from various sectors, with additional recruitment planned in the coming weeks and months to meet rising regional demand for engineering services. The office’s activities will focus primarily on partnerships with companies in the Centre-du-Québec region, particularly in the energy, resources, and infrastructure sectors.

“This project brings us closer to our partners and places us at the heart of a dynamic environment,” said Styve Villeneuve, a project manager and head of the Bécancour office. “The team is enthusiastic about actively contributing to the economic development of the region.”

Bécancour is part of the Greater Montreal Area. The area has become a key hub as the Canadian energy and resources sector undergoes a major transformation, said Steeve L’Heureux, the company’s vice-president of energy and resources.
