Entrepreneurs Buy Dooly’s Quebec Master Franchising Rights, Two Locations

Entrepreneurs Mathieu Castilloux and Jonathan Delarosbil have acquired the master franchise for the Dooly’s entertainment centre chain in Quebec, along with two Dooly’s locations in Quebec City.

Active for several years in the restaurant and franchise operations sector in the Quebec City region, the new owners say they intend to continue growing and strengthening the network in the province.

The transaction marks a new chapter for Dooly’s Québec, which has been operated since the early 2000s by André Blais, the holder of the master franchise for all of Quebec and for Ottawa. Blais will remain involved with the new management team to help ensure a smooth transition.

As part of the deal, the head-office team will remain in place at the Quebec City offices, a condition aimed at maintaining operational stability, service quality, and close support for franchisees.

The new owners plan to consolidate existing operations while exploring growth opportunities, particularly in western Quebec.

“It’s a big challenge, but I think at this stage of our career, we were ready for it,” Delarosbil told Le Journal de Québec.

“What we’re aiming for is expansion. Our first challenge on the list is to grow the brand in Quebec. That’s what we’re going to put forward, but first, we’re going to take the time to get to know the team that’s in place. We’re going to go out into the field to meet the people with whom we want to do development.”

Founded in Canada in 1993, Dooly’s is a chain of entertainment centres that combine restaurant and bar service with recreational activities such as billiards, virtual golf, and games of chance. The brand operates 22 franchised locations in Quebec and 33 elsewhere in Canada, primarily in the Maritime provinces.
