Équipe Laurence’s Head Office Wins Global ASHRAE Award
Équipe Laurence’s head office in the Montreal suburb of Sainte-Adèle, Que., has received international recognition for its heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) system.
The company earned a prestigious ASHRAE Technology Award, earning honours in the new commercial building category. The award celebrates projects that exemplify innovation in energy efficiency, air quality, and mechanical design in accordance with ASHRAE standards.
“This worldwide recognition is like winning the silver medal at the Olympics,” said Équipe Laurence President Alexandre Latour.
Founded in 1983, Équipe Laurence is a civil engineering firm that specializes in infrastructure and real estate development services while also providing assistance with urban planning and other projects.
Latour praised his team and highlighted the collaboration with engineering firm BPA, which helped bring the firm’s exclusive cloacothermal system to life at the Équipe Laurence campus.
The cloacothermal technology, central to the firm’s award-winning submission, underscores Équipe Laurence’s commitment to sustainable innovation, said the company.
Latour emphasized that the honour reflects the “spirit of innovation that drives Équipe Laurence employees, both in the development of ideas and concepts, and in the implementation of innovative solutions.”
This is Équipe Laurence’s second ASHRAE World Award, following a previous first-place finish in the same category for Eastern Canada.
