White captured the prestigious 2024 Randal Froebelius Member of the Year Award from BOMA Canada for her exemplary volunteer work, highlighting her leadership within real estate. Accordingly, she also took home the 2024 BOMA Edmonton Member of the Year Award.
The honours came after she devoted hundreds of hours to BOMA causes.
She has held significant positions with BOMA Edmonton, serving as a board director for 10 years and co-founding the Property Manager Roundtable, which has become a critical platform for property managers to address downtown safety, vibrancy, and best practices. White’s work with the roundtable has fostered partnerships with city leaders, police, and community organizations, shaping Edmonton’s downtown policies. Leaders in other jurisdictions have hailed the group as model to follow.
She has also co-chaired committees such as the safety and vibrancy committee and the BOMEX Edmonton 2023 conference, which produced Edmonton’s first BOMEX event in a quarter century. While setting up the BOMEX conference, BOMA Edmonton created a new framework for BOMEX and forged a new partnership and business model with BOMA Canada.
Within BOMA, White has made substantial contributions as a mentor, an awards judge and in many other roles, including chair of BOMA Edmonton’s gala.
She has also served as her region’s leader for the BGO Women’s Network, which support members’ professional development through opportunities for networking and leadership. During the 2024 CIBC Run for the Cure, network members raised more than $70,000 for breast cancer research.
In addition, she holds real property and facilities management administrator designations from BOMI, showcasing her dedication to professional development and industry standards.
White’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is evident through her role in Canada’s first Indigenous inclusion project in commercial real estate, where she has actively participated in initiatives such as surveys, building tours, and focus groups.
She helped BGO garner several TOBY awards for the company’s innovative Edmonton properties. The honours have included the 2023 TOBY local and national awards for Enterprise Square, the 2019 Earth Award and a TOBY Award for Canadian Western Bank Place, and 2018 Operations Team of the Year Award.
White’s accolades reinforce her reputation for operational excellence and her significant impact on Edmonton’s real estate landscape.
These are just some of the reasons why Connect Canada CRE has honoured her with a 2024 Canadian Women in Real Estate Award.
