Feeds ‘n Needs has expanded its presence in the Maritimes with a new store in the Halifax suburb of Hammonds Plains, N.S.

The store, located at Unit 201, 2071 Hammonds Plains Road, is one of the company’s largest retail spaces, offering an extensive selection of pet supplies, livestock feed, wild bird food, and gardening products.

“This store is designed to enhance our ability to serve the community with high-quality products and expert customer service,” said Brian Wedge, the Amherst, N.S.-based chain’s retail sales manager.

Hammonds Plains store manager Brittni Crowell echoed his enthusiasm.

A grand opening event is planned for this spring, featuring promotions, giveaways, and more. Additionally, the store’s self-serve pet wash station, Splash ‘n Dash, is under construction and expected to open in mid-March.

Feeds ‘n Needs, a division of St. Marys, Ont.-based Shur-Gain/Trouw Nutrition, operates 15 corporate stores across the Maritimes. The company specializes in animal nutrition and health, offering about 20,000 products and personalized customer service.
