Fengate Launches New Multi-Family Brand

Fengate Asset Management has launched Fengate Communities, a new residential brand aimed at scaling its multi-family platform and enhancing the living experience for residents.

The Toronto-based firm said the brand unifies its growing portfolio under a single identity focused on community-building and “empowering prosperity for everyday Canadians.” The launch comes as Fengate advances one of the country’s largest residential pipelines, with more than 25,000 units planned over the next decade.

The company noted that the rollout arrives amid a national slowdown in housing starts, positioning Fengate among a limited group of developers continuing to build new homes, support construction employment and address housing demand.

Last year, Fengate broke ground on five projects totalling 1,915 homes, with additional developments expected to begin in 2026. The expansion has been supported through partnerships, including with the LiUNA Pension Fund of Central and Eastern Canada, helping drive the scale needed for a dedicated residential brand, said Fengate.

“As our residential portfolio continues to grow rapidly, Fengate Communities has emerged as a natural evolution of our business,” said Jaime McKenna, president of Fengate Real Estate. “Through one unified brand, we’re delivering a consistent and connected living experience for our residents no matter which community they call home, from the first leasing and sales touchpoint to everyday living. This resident-first focus will continue to guide how we invest in and deliver much-needed homes for Canadians, and how we build long-term value for the communities we serve.”

The first property to lease under the new brand will be 500 Upper Wellington, with leasing set to begin this spring. Fengate plans to extend the brand across its existing portfolio in the coming months and host resident events to mark the launch.
