Florence Chaussé joined KingSett Capital, Canada’s pre-eminent real estate private-equity firm, in September 2023 as an analyst, where she quickly managed to make herself indispensable to both her colleagues and clients.
“She is respected for her tenacity and impeccable work ethic by all who know her,” said her CWIRE Award nominator.
While still an analyst, she was invited to speak at the Montreal Real Estate Forum where she shared her expertise on the multi-family sector, CMHC’s quickly evolving policies and discussed solutions to create more supply. Less than a year after joining KingSett, she became the youngest and only female originator within the firm’s mortgage group. In this new role, she is responsible for the sourcing efforts of multi-family mortgage investments across Canada. As such, she seeks to formulate bespoke lending strategies, leveraging, at all points, KingSett’s different silos and cross-selling products at every opportunity.
Prior to joining KingSett, she spent two years with JLL’s capital markets group, where she held progressive positions. She led commercial real estate transactions and advisory mandates across all major property types, gaining expertise in due diligence and negotiation.
Beyond her professional endeavours, she actively supports the Montreal General Hospital’s mental health department as an ambassador, as well as Meals on Wheels as a board member.
“Florence is the embodiment of the KingSett values: Respect, transparency, accountability, humility, and integrity,” said her CWIRE Award nominator. “In everything that she does, Florence remains firmly grounded by these principles. She is carrying KingSett’s culture, leading with integrity and thinking like an owner. It is in her blood: She is a KingSetter.”
Her track record of producing at the highest level, within one of the most demanding and competitive environments in Canadian real estate, will no doubt continue to set her apart, her nominator added.
