Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ is adding a third phase to its District Union rental-housing development in suburban Montreal.

Located in the Terrebonne, Que., the 13-storey, 264-unit is under construction and will be ready for occupancy in spring 2024, Fonds announced in a press release.

“The arrival of this new rental experience marks the beginning of a renewed vision for the District Union neighbourhood aimed at housing generations with common needs together,” said Fonds in the news release.

The new building is situated between the first and second phases. Once the third phase is completed, the three buildings will contain 598 apartments.

As of mid-year 2023, Fonds had 47 projects valued at $6.2 billion in development or construction.
