Four Seasons Developing Shanghai Hotel
Canada’s Four Seasons has announced plans to develop a new hotel in Shanghai with Fungseng Prosperity Holdings Limited.
Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai will stand 44 storeys high with 160 luxury rooms and suites, the Canadian firm said in a news release. Expected to open in 2027, the hotel will be located along Huaihai Zhong Road within the Huangpu district of Puxi in the heart of the city’s shopping, dining and entertainment hub,
The Shanghai hotel will join a growing collection of Four Seasons properties throughout China, including the recently opened Hotel Suzhou and upcoming hotels in Dalian, Hangzhou and Xi’An.
FSP is a Hong Kong-based conglomerate that operates in three core areas – property and hotel development, global financial investments and property lifestyle services. The private firm is wholly owned by its chairman, William Wai-hoi Doo.
Architecture will be completed by Ricardo Bofill and P&T Group, and Jean-Michel Gathy of Dennison will serve as the interior designer.
