(Connect has handed out its third-annual Canadian Women in Real Estate Awards. This story profiles Avison Young Principal Nathalie Gagnon.)
By Amy Wolff Sorter
Nathalie Gagnon, Avison Young’s Principal, Senior Director, Project Management in Quebec, has over 25 years of experience in real estate, project management and construction oversight. Her leadership of Avison Young’s Quebec project management group—of which 75% are women—has expanded the platform into a diverse, inclusive, and capable unit that services mandates ranging from private corporate fit-outs to large-scale institutional projects.
Gagnon’s notable accomplishments include working with CN Rail’s 438,000-square-foot office relocation, one of the largest in the province. She also handled a 335,000-square-foot, ground-up industrial project.
Outside of work, Gagnon is deeply engaged in professional organizations such as IREM and REIC, where she advocates for sustainability and professional development. She is also a mentor and role model, investing time to guide young women in the construction and real estate industries. By championing diversity and creating pathways for underrepresented groups, she is helping shape the next generation of leaders.
These are just some of the reasons why Connect Canada CRE honoured Nathalie Gagnon with a 2025 Canadian Women in Real Estate Award. The awards celebrate the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
