Gentle Monster to Open First Canadian Store in Toronto

South Korean eyewear retailer Gentle Monster is preparing to open its first Canadian location at Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre later this year.

The retail centre’s website states that the new store is “coming soon.” The mall is owned by Oxford Properties.

According to a published report, the store will comprise 5,300 square feet and be located near fellow luxury retailers Louis Vuitton, Thom Browne and Acne Studios.

Gentle Monster has expanded globally since being founded by Hankook Kim in 2011.
