Groupe HD, Fondaction Partner on $425M East Montreal Multi-Res Project

Groupe HD and Fondaction have partnered on a $425-million multi-residential development in Montreal’s east end, the firms announced.

The partners intend to develop 1,200 suites on a 210,000-square-foot site at 5600 Sherbrooke Street East in the Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough.

More than 15% of the units will be designated as affordable housing. The development will target LEED Gold certification and will be carried out in two phases to align with the City of Montreal’s Assomption Nord Urban Planning Program.

Construction Praxis will serve as general contractor, with NEUF Architect(e)s leading architecture and BC2 handling landscape design.
