GWL Starting Construction on Downtown Montreal Apartment Tower

GWL Realty Advisors will start construction on a new 46-storey downtown Montreal apartment building, the company announced Thursday.

The multi-residential building will be located on the south side of the existing Le Livmore Ville-Marie apartment tower. Le Livmore II will contain 424 units and commercial space on the ground floor.

The project is expected to be completed by July 2025.

“The Livmore brand of properties represent an important, yet historically underserved segment of the housing market,” said Glenn Way, GWL’s president in the news release. “Adding another 46-storey tower to our existing Le Livmore community fulfills our vision for this prime Montreal asset and confirms our confidence in the growing demand for high-quality, amenity-rich purpose-built rental properties in key urban markets.”

GWL also has two Le Livmore properties in Toronto, while another one in Ottawa is scheduled for occupancy in winter 2024. A fifth Livemore building is planned for Mississauga, Ont.
