Hartleywood Sells Major Robson Retail Asset

Brokerage firms Marcus & Millichap and CBRE have announced the sale of a major retail property in Vancouver’s Robson Street shopping district.

Robson Centreplace is located at the corner of Thurlow and Robson streets, with the building fronting much of the Robson side of the block. That part area of Robson has a history of attracting global big-name clothing and apparel retailers and international shoppers in pursuit of high-end products.

The buyer was not disclosed. According to multiple reports, the seller was Hartleywood Holdings. Hartleywood’s latest published address, 818 Thurlow, matches the building’s address.

The purchase price was not disclosed, but a July 2023 provincial assessment valued the property at $105.31 million, down slightly from $105.36 million in 2022.

According to the assessment, Robson Centreplace has a net leasable area of 53,329 square feet.

Zara, Banana Republic, Herschel, COS and Browns.

The deal was brokered by Mario Negris and Martin Moriarty of Marcus & Millichap, along with CBRE’s Jim Szabo, Tony Quattrin and Vincent Minichello.
