Heidelberg Acquires Concrete-recycling Properties in Calgary

Heidelberg Materials North America has acquired key assets of Concrete Crushers Inc. (CCI), Calgary’s largest concrete recycler.

The deal includes a recycled aggregates yard in southeast Calgary and a contract crushing business supported by four mobile plants.

The acquisition enhances Heidelberg’s presence in the Calgary market and supports its strategy to expand in core regions through bolt-on acquisitions, said the subsidiary of the German multinational. The acquisition also advances the company’s commitment to sustainable and circular construction solutions by boosting its recycled-concrete offerings.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
