High Tide Expands GTA Footprint with New Pickering Store

High Tide has furthered its rapid Greater Toronto Area expansion program with the opening of a new Canna Cabana recreational cannabis store in Pickering, Ont.

The new store is located in Brookdale Centre at 1105 Kingston Road near the Pickering Town Centre. The location is High Tide’s first in Pickering, 171st in Canada and 62nd in Ontario.

“Cities in the GTA, like Pickering, are some of the fastest-growing population centres in Canada, making them a natural choice as we expand Canna Cabana’s reach in Canada’s largest province,” said Raj Grover, founder and CEO of Calgary-based High Tide in a news release.

High Tide is Canada’s largest non-franchised cannabis retailer, operating stores in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba as well as Ontario. The company is also looking at possible moves into the U.S. and Europe as part of a global growth effort.

When it comes to Europe, Grover has voiced plans to expand into Germany.
