High Tide Opens Fifth Canna Cabana Store in Mississauga

High Tide continued its rapid Greater Toronto Area expansion program Monday with the opening of a new Canna Cabana store in Mississauga, Ont.

The new store is located in a power centre at 2901 Eglinton Avenue in the city’s west end. The outlet is the 59th Canna Cabana location in Ontario and 168th in Canada.

The retailer opened its fourth Canna Cabana location in Mississauga, and 11th Toronto store bearing that brand, in March.

Calgary-based High Tide is Canada’s largest non-franchised cannabis retailer, operating stores in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba as well as Ontario. The company is also looking at possible moves into the U.S. and Europe as part of a global growth effort.

In news release on the latest Mississauga opening, Raj Grover, High Tide’s founder and CEO, voiced plans to expand into Germany. High Tide is waiting for the German government to develop regionally based pilot projects for cannabis specialty shops.
