Hundreds of AI Infrastructure Sector Members Meeting in Montreal
Hundreds of decision-makers from across North America’s digital infrastructure and AI ecosystem will gather in Montreal on Wednesday for the Connect North American Investment in Digital Infrastructure & AI.
More than 300 decision-makers and 30 high-level speakers are expected to attend the first-annual conference, which is positioned as a key forum for understanding how AI, energy constraints and capital markets are converging to redefine digital-infrastructure investment in Canada and across North America.
The event will take place at the Allied REIT Meeting Space, 1001 Boulevard Robert-Bourassa in downtown Montreal, and will begin at 10:30 a.m. with registration and networking, followed by a full day of panels, roundtables and keynote discussions focused on the rapid expansion of AI-driven digital infrastructure.
Programming will centre on how surging AI workloads are reshaping data centres, energy demand and investment strategies. Sessions will examine Canada’s growing data-sovereignty challenge, the country’s reliance on foreign cloud infrastructure, and the opportunities this creates for domestic data-centre operators, cloud providers and investors. Other panels will explore capital raising and M&A activity amid macroeconomic uncertainty, the impact of AI on power consumption and grid capacity, and innovations in energy procurement and storage, including hydropower, renewables, green hydrogen and advanced battery technologies.
Panelists include senior executives, investors and advisors from data-centre operators, hyperscale and colocation providers, pension funds, private equity firms, utilities, engineering and construction companies, technology vendors, and legal and advisory firms. Speakers represent organizations involved in developing, financing, designing, powering and operating digital infrastructure assets across Canada and the United States.
The agenda also highlights Montreal and Quebec’s position as a leading hub for AI and digital infrastructure, citing access to low-cost renewable power, a strong research ecosystem and coordinated public-sector incentives. Additional sessions will address evolving data centre typologies, pension fund allocations to digital infrastructure, and new approaches to architecture, design and construction aimed at supporting high-density AI computing.
