ICM Bluebird Acquires Self-Storage Facility Near Calgary
ICM Bluebird has acquired a new 83,000-square foot self-storage facility on Calgary’s outskirts.
The Buffalo Run property is the first self-storage facility built on the Tsuut’ina Nation’s reserve, located just outside Calgary’s southwestern city limits. The class A asset is part of the Taza Exchange mixed-use development.
Taza Exchange is anchored by the Seven Chiefs sportsplex and 250,000 square feet of retail space. Major tenants include Costco, Tim Hortons, Dairy Queen and Dollarama.
ICM Bluebird invests in class A storage assets in Canadian major markets through a limited partnership fund. The Calgary-area acquisition marks the fund’s 10th outright acquisition since inception and third in the region.
“The fund continues to grow its portfolio of class A self-storage facilities, reinforcing its strategy of acquiring institutional quality assets across Canada,” said ICM Bluebird in a news release.
