Innovalis REIT has appointed Stephane Amine as its new CEO.

In an in-house move, Amine replaces David Giraud, who resigned for undisclosed personal reasons, said the REIT in a news release. Amine becomes CEO for the REIT after chairing it for the past decade.

The Toronto-based REIT invests primarily in France, Germany and Spain. Innovalis holds 13 properties and invests indirectly via CanCorPEurope, an alternative-asset fund based in Luxembourg. CanCorPEurope is managed by Innovalis S.A., a French alternative-asset fund which manages the REIT.

Amine has about 25 years of experience in European real estate investment and the syndication of funds in other countries. Innovalis S.A. and its subsidiaries, Advenis S.S. and Advenis REIM, invest in and manage Innovalis REIT and other real-estate-related investment products.

Amine founded Innovalis S.A. in 1998.
