Kipling Expands into Calgary, Names New Western Canada VP

Kipling Group is expanding its national footprint with the launch of a new office in Calgary.

The new office will serve as the company’s Western Canada headquarters.

The Toronto-based firm, one of Canada’s largest independent full-service property management companies, oversees more than 28 million square feet of commercial and residential real estate. Kipling already has offices in Kitchener-Waterloo and Edmonton.

Sheena Whitfield will lead the Calgary office as vice-president of operations for Western Canada. In her new role, she will oversee operations, leasing, and service divisions across the region while also serving as the company’s broker of record for Alberta.

Whitfield brings more than 25 years of real estate and property management experience, having previously worked as a director for JLL in Calgary, where she helped build the global real estate services firm’s Canadian property management division. In 2020, she was named JLL’s Property Management MVP for Canada.

“We have ambitious growth plans and believe Calgary is the right location to serve as our ‘home base’ for Western Canada,” Michael Case, Kipling’s chief operating officer.

Founded in 2008, Kipling provides full-service property management across all asset classes, including office, industrial, retail, multi-family, and condominiums. The company employs about 150 people and serves many of Canada’s top real estate owners and institutional investors.
