The backlog at Alberta's Land Title Office has been resolved, according to the province's service minister.

Land Title Office Backlog Cleared: Minister

The Alberta government has cleared a large Land Title Office backlog, according to the province’s minister of service and red tape reduction.

Dale Nally told the Edmonton Jopurnal that process times were back down to 10 to 12 days and surveys were being processed in eight to business days.

The government has reported that applications to transfer and register properties increased 86% between April 2021 and December 2022. Front counter service has reopened at LTO’s Calgary and Edmonton locations.
