Leyad has announced a series of senior appointments and a key promotion as it expands its national real estate platform.

Thej Montreal-based company has appointed Anthony Casalanguida as vice-president of retail. Casalanguida brings more than 25 years of experience across retail, office and mixed-use portfolios in Canada. He will focus on unlocking new revenue opportunities, enhancing tenant performance and elevating customer experience across the retail platform, said Leyad.

Prior to joining Leyad, Casalanguida spent 16 years at Oxford Properties Group, most recently as vice-president of retail, where he oversaw a portfolio exceeding $4 billion across multiple provinces and led a team of approximately 400 professionals. He previously served as general manager of Yorkdale Shopping Centre and The Well in Toronto.

Leyad has also named Dina Lianos as director of operations. She joins the company from Colliers and will focus on improving operational efficiency and supporting the continued growth of the company’s national portfolio.

In addition, Gregory Castiel has been promoted to senior vice president of commercial Properties. In his expanded role, he will oversee a national commercial portfolio comprising approximately $2 billion in assets across eight provinces and lead teams spanning leasing, operations and property management.
