Living Realty to Affiliate with Keller Williams

Living Realty has agreed to affiliate with Keller Williams Realty in what the firms call a landmark agreement.

Markham, Ont.-based Living is a leading full-service commercial and residential real estate brokerage firm. It is a subsidiary of Living group.

“Their long-standing reputation for excellence, combined with their unwavering commitment to agent success and client satisfaction, aligns perfectly with our powerful culture and mission to empower entrepreneurs to thrive,: said William Soteroff, regional operating principal of KW Canada and president of Keller Williams Worldwide.

As of March 3, Living Realty will officially operate as KW Living Realty, becoming a KW market centre based in Markham. The firm’s existing 550 agents and 35 staff members are expected to remain with the company.

Austin, Tex.-based KW is the world’s largest real estate franchise by agent count. Upon the affiliation deal’s completion, KW Living Realty will become the largest KW market centre in Canada based on agent count, according to the companies.

Living Realty has been a major player in the real estate market, having sold more than US$1.1 billion worth of properties since January 2023.

“Keller Williams aligns well with our business philosophy and culture,” said Ben Wong, Living Group’s executive vice-president and chief legal officer. “We felt it only made sense to join forces to expand our presence and increase market share.

“Not wanting to lose the culture and philosophy that has guided our organization for 45 years, we also found the synergy and similarities with Keller Williams to be very compelling, such as the focus on agent development, professionalism, and wealth building,” Wong added.

David Wong will become team leader of KW Living Realty. He previously served as Living’s vice-president, overseeing operations and administration. Meanwhile, Kelvin Wong will take on the role of operating principal, having served as Living’s broker of record since 2016.

KW Living Realty will continue to operate from its head office at 8 Steelcase Road West in Markham with five additional branch offices located throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
