L'Oreal Canada has agreed to purchase beauty products distributor Salon Systems.

L’Oreal to Purchase Icon Salon Systems

L’Oreal Canada has agreed to purchase beauty products distributor Salon Systems.

Montreal-based L’Oreal Canada is making the acquisition through its wholly owned subsidiary SalonCentric Canada.

Vancouver-based Icon has seven professional-only stores in B.C.. With the deal, SalonCentric expanded into B.C.

St. Petersburg, Fla.-based SalonCentric has 650 corporate and franchise stores under its brand, along with 180 State RDA stores.

L’Oreal, also through SalonCentric Canada, recently agreed to purchase all of Toronto-based distributor Alternative Beauty Services’ Canadian assets through SalonCentric. Alternative Beauty has eight professional-only stores in Ontario.

The deal marked SalonCentric’s expansion into Ontario.
