LSR Launches Phase 2 of Novia of the Station Apartments

LSR GesDev has acquired an existing 107-unit rental building and an adjacent development project in the Montreal suburb of Candiac, Que.

The two sites, located at 125 Rue des Marronniers, serve as the first and second phases of the Novia de la Gare (of the Station) rental-apartment development. Phase 2 is proceeding and will bring the project’s total unit count to 288 once it is completed, said LSR.

The development is being repositioned under a new identity, Novia de la gare – Candiac, joining the company’s Novia portfolio. The site is near the commuter rail station, major highways, services and shopping centres.

Phase 1 of the project is currently more than 60% occupied and includes shared amenity spaces. Construction on Phase 2 began in this month, with occupancy scheduled for summer 2027.

LSR GesDev is overseeing development under President Annie Lemieux and Lucie Laliberté, the firm’s.vice-president of implementation, projects and operations. Pomerleau is overseeing construction, while Albert Immobilier, led regionally by Amélie Rey, serves as the property manager.

“While attending Jean-de-la-Mennais High School, Candiac stood out to me as a city where it’s good to live and build. We would also like to warmly thank the City of Candiac for its collaboration and commitment throughout this project,” said Lemieux. “Our organization’s establishment at the Novia building near the train station is a natural fit within a sustainable project, close to services and public transportation. This type of development makes a tangible contribution to the quality of life of citizens and the dynamism of the Candiac community.”

Team Canada professional golfer Joey Savoie has been named project ambassador and will live on-site.

“I am honoured and proud that Ms. Lemieux thought of me as an ambassador,” said Savoie. “I am convinced that I can contribute to the prestige of the complex.”
