IPA Capital Markets, a division of Marcus & Millichap specializing in capital markets services for major private and institutional clients, is expanding its Canadian presence with the addition of commercial real estate finance industry veteran Onorio Lucchese.

Lucchese has been appointed senior managing director in the firm’s Toronto office, where he will focus on capital raising, facilitating cross-border transactions, representing Canadian investors in U.S. opportunities, and assisting international investors seeking commercial real estate in Canada.

Lucchese brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate, including investment banking, strategic advisory, mergers and acquisitions. He has raised equity and debt capital financing across various asset classes, including multi-family, industrial, retail, office, self-storage, hospitality, and seniors housing. He previously held senior investment banking roles at Raymond James, Brookfield Financial, BMO Capital Markets, and TD Securities.

Over his career, he has been involved in more than $20 billion in real estate transactions, including cross-border financings and initial public offerings.

A registered professional engineer in Ontario, Lucchese also spent five years as a consulting engineer for the land development industry.
