Maclab Delivers New Student Housing Tower

Maclab has delivered a new purpose-built student residence to the Edmonton marketplace. The 20-storey Laurent building is situated next to the University of Alberta campus and within walking distance of all of its facilities. The development includes 6,600 square feet of street-level commercial space. Housing units are available to U of A students and others attending nearby universities and colleges. The tower contains 175 units and 493 beds. Two floors featuring one- and two-bedroom units are dedicated to graduate students. The remaining floors are available to undergrads and have various layouts, including studios and two-bedroom and four-bedroom suites. Amenities include a fitness centre, yoga studio, outdoor terrace, integrated smart technology and co-working spaces Construction was completed September 1 by Ledcor and occupancy has begun. Maclab, an Edmonton-based investor and developer, will continue to own and manage the asset.
