Martin Brower Breaks Ground on Oshawa Distribution Centre

Martin Brower Canada has broken ground on a new 172,000-square-foot food distribution centre in Oshawa, Ont.

Pannatoni Development is collaborating on the project, which includes office space, with Stonemount Financial Group and Bentall GreenOak, according to a news release issued by the City of Oshawa.

“This new distribution centre will play an important role in Martin Brower’s North American distribution network and is outfitted with [carbon-dioxide], infrastructure for electric vehicles, and the future potential to add solar panels to further drive toward our sustainability targets,” said  Julie Dell’Aniello, president of Martin Brower Canada, in the news release.

The new facility will be located in the Northwood Business Park, which sits on 500 acres and is connected to Canadian Pacific and Canadian National Rail Lines.

Martin Brower Canada provides supply-chain solutions for McDonald’s and other leading brands and has 1,200 employees in six facilities across the country. The new Oshawa facility will join Chicago-based parent Martin Brower’s 74 global hubs across 18 countries, which handle logistic and supply-chain operations for about 26,000 restaurants.
