Mattamy Appoints Haggart Top GTA Urban Executive

Mattamy Homes Canada has appointed veteran real estate developer Niall Haggart as president of its Greater Toronto Area urban division.

Haggart will lead all aspects of the division’s development and homebuilding business, the company said in a press release.

“We spent a lot of time finding the right person to lead this important business into the future, and I’m confident that we’ve done so with Niall,” said Brad Carr, the company’s CEO.

Haggart has three decades of commercial real estate industry experience, primarily with Toronto-based Daniels Corporation. He has led the development of about 25,000 residential units in several award-winning mixed-use properties across the GTA.

Haggart’s projects have included the Mississauga City Centre, which contains approximately 3,000 residential units and grade-level retail spaces; the 380-unit TIFF Bell Lighthouse mixed-use condominium tower and Daniels City of the Arts, which contains 950 residences above a large commercial podium.
