Meloche Group Acquires France’s Groupe Rossi Aéro
Meloche Group has acquired France’s Groupe Rossi Aéro, a subsidiary of Mecachrome, in a move that expands the Quebec-based aerospace manufacturer’s footprint into Europe and brings the combined company’s annual revenues to more than $250 million.
The acquisition gives Meloche two additional facilities in the Toulouse region of France, complementing its six Quebec sites and expanding its reach across the civil and military aerospace sectors. The company said the transaction supports its strategy of building a global aerospace platform with integrated manufacturing capabilities ranging from machining to assembly.
“This transaction marks an important milestone in Meloche Group’s evolution,” said Hugue Meloche, president and CEO of Meloche. “With the integration of Groupe Rossi Aéro, we are strengthening our ability to support our clients internationally while consolidating our presence in Quebec. Our ambition is clear: To continue building a high-performing group capable of expanding into new markets and increasing its presence within the global aerospace industry.”
Meloche said the acquisition will allow it to better serve customers near major aerospace hubs in Montreal and Toulouse while simplifying program management, reducing supply risks and improving production timelines. The company added that the expanded platform will strengthen its role in aerospace and defence supply chains.
The transaction is backed by Novacap, the Government of Quebec, Investissement Québec and Export Development Canada. Meloche said the partnership is intended to support further international expansion, including in Europe and the defence sector.\

The transaction is backed by Novacap, the Government of Quebec, Investissement Québec, which is the province economic development arm, and Export Development Canada. Meloche said the partnership is intended to support further international expansion, including in Europe and the defence sector.
Beauharnois, Que.-based Meloche is a family-owned company whose services include integrated manufacturing solutions for aerospace components and assemblies, including design, engineering, manufacturing, finishing, and logistics.
Founded in 1976, Groupe Rossi manufactures parts and sub-assemblies for the aerospace industry.
Brossard, Que.-based Novacap is a 45-year-old private-equity firm that focuses on middle-market and lower-market companies in four core sectors: Technologies, digital infrastructure, industries and financial services.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
