As managing partner for equity capital markets at Calgary-based Avenue Living, Gabriel Millard leads the firm’s growth strategy and oversees the full lifecycle of capital markets activities: Creating new fund vehicles and cultivating lasting investor partnerships. During his tenure, he has scaled the firm from a regional player to a national force with over $7.5 billion in assets under management (AUM).

In 2024, Millard raised over $2 billion in capital, more than the combined equity raised by all Canadian public real estate firms. He chairs the firm’s capital markets committee and contributes to weekly C-suite planning. He mentors emerging talent, drives ESG and cybersecurity initiatives and launched an employer-supported volunteerism program.

He is the creator of “Investor Insights,” a video series that educates potential investors. He also launched Avenue Living’s “family-first” investor events for all ages.  Millard is also a frequent speaker at events, including those hosted by the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society, Canadian Association of Alternative Strategies & Assets (CAASA), and Markets Group.

Millard has co-authored several research papers with Professor Grant A. Wilson, PhD, including An International Examination of Market Orientation and Performance in Residential Property Management, which was published in the Property Management Journal.

Millard has been named one of Wealth Professional Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Rising Stars and served as a judge for the 2025 CoStar Impact Awards.
