Monarch Launches 400K-SF Expansion Project in Laval

Monarch Specialties, a North American leader in furniture and home decor products, has begun construction on a 400,000-square-foot expansion of its facilities in the Montreal suburb of Laval, Que.

The $50-million project will be designed and built by Montoni Group, will feature three new premises: One dedicated to Monarch’s operations and two others available for lease.

Laval-based Monarch said the expansion marks a major milestone. enabling the company to increase inventory capacity, improve logistics processes, and support its strategy to diversify into new market segments such as upholstery and bedroom furniture

“The expansion of our facilities is an investment in the future. It symbolizes our commitment to operational excellence and will allow us to better adapt to rapid changes in the market while supporting our mission of providing our customers with innovative, quality products,” said David Berger, president of Monarch.

The new warehouse will help Monarch meet growing demand for its products and expand its home decor offering. With strong partnerships with major retailers such as Wal-Mart, Costco, Amazon, and Wayfair, Monarch is strengthening its position in the North American market, said the company.

The two additional buildings, designed with large windows and functional layouts, will provide attractive rental opportunities for businesses seeking quality industrial spaces in a prime location, said Monarch Situated near Highways 13 and 440, the facilities offer excellent accessibility for logistics operations.

This project continues a long-standing relationship between Monarch and Montoni, which first collaborated in 2007 to build Monarch’s initial Laval facility. The partnership resumed in 2014 with an expansion to meet Monarch’s growing needs, and now, nearly a decade later, it has been renewed once again.

“We are always pleased to do business with Monarch Specialties,” said Dario Montoni, president of Montoni. “It is a real privilege to witness, and be part of, the growth of this dynamic company and to see its confidence in our work renewed time and again,”
