Montoni, Legault Developing $90M Pet Food Distribution Centre in GMA
Groupe Montoni and pet food manufacturer Legault Group have begun construction on a new $90-million automated pet food warehouse and distribution centre in the Greater Montreal Area.
Both investors will continue to own the 400,000-square-foot facility located in Mascouche, Que.
The building will be the final part of Montoni’s 1.6-million-square-foot Centroparc business park and will commence operations in 2025, Montoni and Legault announced in a news release. The project will be a record investment for Mascouche, the city’s mayor, Guillaume Tremblay, in the release.
Montoni will build the structure designed by NEUF Architects. NEUF intends to design the building according to LEED silver standards.
The two owners and NEUF are all based in Quebec.
In addition to having warehouse and distribution space, the building will contain two floors of offices and a dog park.
