More Retailers Coming to Sydney’s Mayflower Mall
Several newcomers are leasing space in the Cape Breton region’s largest
indoor shopping centre following an expansion.
Greg Morrison, general manager of Mayflower mall in Sydney, N.S. told CTV
that 2023 has been a big year for the retail property.
French beauty products retailer Sephora will move into the mall in
November, he told the television network. Women’s plus-size clothing retailer
Torrid will also be opening a store at Mayflower as the busy Christmas season
looms.
Pretzel Maker and Mrs. Fields will set up shop at Mayflower in the near
future, too, according to Morrison. A Lids hat store opened recently and a HomeSense
outlet moved into the mall in the spring.
The retail influx provides a boost for the local economy, Jenna Lahey, CEO
for the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce, told CTV.
“I think it has a lot of do with our increasing population,” she
said.
