MPAC Manager Assists Investors in Valuing Properties

Vicki Kamperogianis has been helping Ontario commercial real estate investors determine their property valuations for more than three decades.
She is the valuation manager at the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, helping investors navigate the often thorny issues involved in valuations for taxation and other purposes.
“She understands, and is well versed in the market and current as well as historical challenges,” says a colleague who nominated her for her Canadian Women in Real Estate Award. “She has a deep understanding of the history of Toronto and is always willing to share her expertise.”
Her efforts have helped buyers and sellers determine prices in acquisitions and dispositions covering billions of dollars worth of properties.
In addition to being credited with helping owners learn more about their property values, Kamperogianis has earned praise for helping many women advance in commercial real estate.
“She encourages her staff to pursue higher levels of education while maintaining their day-to-day lives and work objects,” says her colleague. “Vicki has inspired many to attain their designation, whether in the appraisal or assessment industry. She’s hardworking and dedicated, not just to her work but to her team. I’ve personally worked with Vicki for over 10 years and she’s always been supportive.”
Kamperogianis offers insights into improving oneself, her colleague adds. She shares experience and knowledge with anyone willing to listen.
“Vicki encourages staff to apply for developing opportunities and recognizes potential in others,” says her colleague. “Vicki also takes the time to know her staff on a personal level.”
