National Appraisal Group Hires New CEO
The Appraisal Institute of Canada has appointed Donna Dewar as its new CEO.
Dewar joined the Ottawa-based group Monday and will officially assume her new role November 1, said AIC in a press release. She replaces Keith Lancastle, who has served in an interim capacity since November 2022 after coming out of retirement and resuming the post he had held permanently for 11 years.
Dewar has two decades of experience with non-profit and membership-based organizations. She joined AIC after serving this past summer as the interim operations executive leader for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. Before then, she held executive positions with the Canadian Nurses Association for 11 years, most recently chief operations officer.
Dewar holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on innovative leadership from the University of Fredricton and a professional project management professional designation.
