New Loblaws Store Set to Open

A new Loblaws store is set to open in downtown Vancouver, according to a report.

The Loblaws City Market will be the first retail outlet to open at the Canada Post heritage building redevelopment known as the Post, the Daily Hive reported. The store’s tentative opening date is February 2.

The 45,000-square-foot premises are situated on the second floor of the development’s podium and will be operated by franchisee Dave Sherwood, according to the Daily Hive.

The Post is being developed by Vancouver-based QuadReal Property Group, one of Canada’s largest institutional investors. The project includes 1.1 million square feet of office space, which is fully leased to Amazon, and 185,000 sf of retail locations, including food and grocery outlets.

Office occupancy has begun.
