Nexus REIT Starts to Build Regina Logistics Centre
Nexus Industrial REIT has broken ground on a new logistics facility in Regina.
Trucking firm Rosenau Transport, Acropolis Warehousing and their parent, global parcel-service firm GLS Group, will occupy the 200,000-square-foot warehouse.
The building will be located at the intersection of Ross Avenue and Park Street within the Titan Business Park. The property is located inside a ring road within the heart of Regina’s industrial district.
Vancouver-based Hungerford is developing the business park on a former Sears Canada distribution-centre site.
According to an Acropolis fact sheet, the building’s design has been certified by the Agrichemical Warehousing Standards Association. The structure will include 40 large-truck dock loading doors, a 30-foot clear ceiling height, dock and grade access and a full precast wall system.
Blackfalds, Alta.-based Eagle Builders, which designs and builds precast concrete structures, will provide the wall system. Occupancy is slated for 2024.
