Ontario Teachers’ Names Three New Managing Directors
The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board has appointed new managing directors for its capital markets, total fund management, and global investment strategy departments.
All of the appointments resulted through promotions after Teachers’ elevated three former managers to its executive team in January.
Bernard Grzinic has been named executive managing director of capital markets. He will oversee Teachers’ active risk taking in credit and absolute-return-strategy asset classes. Grzinic has more than 25 years of experience at Teachers’.
Steve Saldanha has been named the executive managing Director of total fund management. He also brings has been with Teachers’ for almost 20 years, fulfilling senior positions in both the total fund management and capital markets business segments.
Robert Sturgeon is the new senior managing director of global investment strategy. He has Teachers’ in 2017 and has held progressively senior roles in the department that he now oversees.
Teachers’ is a global investor with net assets, including real estate and infrastructure, valued at C$249.8 billion.
