OpenRoad Plans to Develop New 16-Acre Auto Mall in Surrey

OpenRoad plans to develop a new major auto mall in the Newton area of Surrey, B.C., after gaining city council approval.

City council recently gave the project third-reading approval, the Peace Arch News reported.

The 16-acre auto mall will be located at 13340 76th Avenue, just west of the King George Highway and 76th Avenue intersection.

The property is situated near Costco Wholesale and Canadian Tire locations as well as a NAV Canada facility. A 1976-built warehouse and surface parking lot currently occupy the proposed development site and much of it has already been cleared, according to a city planning report.

The development plan calls for 166,000 square feet of new auto showroom, office space and other facilities associated with dealerships according to Daily Hive.
