Ottawa CRE Startup Partners with Not-for-Profits

Three commercial real estate brokers have launched a new Ottawa-based company that caters largely to not-for-profit groups.

Justin George, Jennifer Murray and Andrew Thomson co-founded Kadus Group, which has pledged to partner with many not-for-profit organizations and encourage its team to volunteer. The Ottawa Business Journal originally reported the company’s formation.

The Kadus business model includes advisory, asset management, development and investment management services.

George, the firm’s managing partner, said on LinkedIn that he decided to start another company after forming his own consulting business in spring 2023 and drawing interest from other entrepreneurs. He previously served as a senior vice-president and head of development at Colonnade BridgePort.

Murray previously headed her own development consulting firm.

Thomson has owned and headed Toronto-based development and project management firm True North Group for the past two decades.
